Who we are
The Rock Trust (SC018708) is a registered charity in Scotland which aims to end youth homelessness in Scotland by ensuring that every young person has access to expert youth specific services to assist them to avoid, resolve, and move on from homelessness. We advise, educate, and support young people to enable them to build the personal skills and resources required to make a positive and healthy transition to adulthood. We also work to ensure that the public, policy makers, commissioners and practitioners understand the issues, make decisions and take action which will end youth homelessness.

Supporters: We collect the following personal information about our supporters:
- Donor’s personal contact details such as name, address, telephone number and email address.
- Donation records

- Records of correspondence to supporters
- Letters from donors, trusts and foundations
- Collections details for furniture and other physical donations
Employee, Volunteers and Trustees: We collect the following personal information:

- Timesheets, annual leave and sickness records
- Induction, training, supervision and appraisal records
- Employee payroll documentation, including bank details, expenses and pension contributions
- Mileage and expenses claims
- Next of Kin contact details

Visitors: For security purposes we also record and process the following information:
- CCTV from Rock Trust premises (we may have to share footage with the police if recordings are requested).
- Authorised visitor details
Landlords: We collect the following information about our properties and landlords:
- Landlord personal contact details such as name, address, telephone number and email address
- Property details
- Maintenance records
- Room occupancies
How and why we use your personal data?

We may use your contact details to provide you with information about the vital work we do, our fundraising appeals and opportunities to support us, as well as services we think it may be of interest to you. We will only send you marketing and fundraising communications by email, post, or telephone if you have actively engaged and shown interest in supporting our work such as by by making a donation. We may also carry out targeting advertising (through Facebook and Google) where we may use your personal data to deliver advertising which we believe may be of interest to you. This approach enables us to avoid directing adverts to you if they are unlikely to be of interest.
