Volunteer

Volunteers are an essential part of Rock Trust. Thanks to their time, expertise, and dedication, we’re closer to ending youth homelessness in Scotland.

“The best thing is just hanging out and spending time with the young people who I live with, we’ve really bonded.” Sol, Rock Trust Supportive Flatmate Volunteer

Current Volunteer Opportunities

We’re currently seeking for volunteers to assist with different support services offered to young people at risk of homelessness, as well as help in the office with a variety of administration, fundraising, and events tasks.

Corporate Partnerships

We work with our corporate supporters year-around to engage and inspire employees and help maximise their impact.

My Place Peer Flatmate Programme

My Place is a peer flatmate programme run in partnership by Rock Trust and East Lothian Council.

It gives young people aged 18-30 the chance to live alongside two young people in supported accommodation in Musselburgh, offering friendship, stability and around 15 hours of peer support a week.

“Finding Rock Trust and becoming a small part of their work is something I am extremely proud of and one of the best decisions I have made.” Jillian, Rock Trust Volunteer

Investing in Volunteers

We’ve achieved the Investing in Volunteers (IiV) Chartermark for ensuring that good quality training and support is available to our volunteers.
