What to Expect
At Rock Trust we bring a youth work approach to the housing and homelessness sector – one that recognises potential and builds better futures. Our services are youth-specific, trauma-informed, and guided by what young people tell us they need.
We know that asking for help isn’t easy, and it can be intimidating taking that first step – meeting new people, going to new places.
Our team of qualified youth-workers pride themselves on building trusting relationships built on mutual respect.
Accessing support
Routes to support depend on where you live and what your situation is. But these are the basic steps that we’ll take together.
- Get in touch via phone or through our make an enquiry form – If nobody is available to speak to you straight away somebody will aim to respond within 24 hours.
- If we are best placed to support you, we’ll invite you for a 1-1 meeting with a worker to talk things through. If we don’t think we can help, we’ll do our best to signpost you to those that can.
- At your first meeting we will talk in a bit more detail and fill out some paperwork. What happens next will depend on what kind of support your receiving, but every step will be guided by your needs and interests.
Help with housing
If your needs are housing related, you will need to speak to your local council about making a homelessness application. Details can be found here. Our housing related support can only be accessed through referrals, so talking to your local council is the best thing to do. But we are always still happy to talk things through and offer what advice we can. Head to our get help now page for local housing contacts.
Asking for Help
Speak to us by WhatsApp, phone, email or face to face, whatever works for you. We will help you plan your next steps, so you can avoid or move on from homelessness for good.

"They kind of helped me put everything into place. They helped me realise I could put things into goals..."

"When I came here, I felt lonely, no one with me, I knew no one. When I met Colin, I found a friend. They are a friend. It's not like work. We go shopping, for coffee, for walks. And I want to thank him."

"They were able to get me through everything I was going through at the time. Even the times I didn’t want to work with them, they were understanding. They stuck by me. They gave me my space, but they always came back in the end."
