How will you Coorie* in?
*Coorie [küri] | verb | Scottish: To snuggle in and find comfort.
Bring together friends, family and colleagues to Coorie In and raise vital donations.
You could:
- Throw a mini ceilidh
- Host a Christmas party or lunch
- Plan a movie night to watch some Christmas classics
- Organise a candle-making workshop
- Coorie in with friends or colleagues for a special reading group
- Have a Christmas jumper day at work with a team photo
- Organise a Christmas bake off for a coffee morning
- Get crafty with a homemade Christmas card workshop
- Sing carols in your community
These are just some ideas for a fundraising Coorie – over to you, be as creative as you want!
Raising donations
Once you’ve decided on how you are going to Coorie In, invite people to donate to participate. The number of participants and type of donation is entirely up to you. We recommend aiming for 10 participants and asking them to donate £10 each.
£100 could help us to furnish and personalise a home for a young person starting out on their own, helping them leave homelessness behind them.
We recommend setting up a JustGiving page with the details of your Coorie In event – so donations you raise can go straight to where they are needed.

Why we need your support this Christmas
More than 9,000 young people in Scotland were affected by homelessness last year. Your gift will help a young person access warmth, safety and support.
Because nobody should be left out in the cold.
Email [email protected] for support and resources to help you bring your Coorie In fundraiser to life.
Coorie In Ceilidh
Prefer to Coorie In with Rock Trust instead? Join us at our Christmas Ceilidh where we will be celebrating with music, dancing and laughter, and maybe a mince pie or two! All to raise funds for our work to help young people in Scotland come in from the cold.
Thursday 11th December, 7pm-9pm.
