Aim Of Training:
The training will describe positive approaches and discuss effective strategies for dealing with challenging behaviours in adolescence.
Participants will be able to:
- Define adolescence and increase knowledge of adolescent behaviours.
- Explore the theory of brains in transition, identifying key stages of adolescence and examine how emotional functioning is formed.
- Outline the key stages of change and the steps involved to successful transitions.

Heather Zajac has worked since 1995 supporting vulnerable people facing homelessness, isolation and personal challenges. She has worked for various organisations across the public and voluntary sectors including local authorities, charities and for the Scottish Government, giving her a vast amount of experience across the board. Heather had studied Professional Development, Counselling and Learning & Development. Since 2010, she has delivered training to professionals on the impact of a lack of support networks and how to implement a Networks Approach throughout Scotland, incorporating evidence based research from the Beyond Homelessness Report 2013.
