Events at The Rock Trust
Events are an important way for The Rock Trust to meet supporters, spread the word of our work and of course to help raise the vital funds which allow us to undertake our work.
As well as joining us for our own events its quite possible for supporters to develop their own events and we are always happy to offer any advise or support around this. Other national events will also allow you to chose which charity you wish to benefit from your efforts - and we would be delighted if you chose us.
Over the next 12 months The Rock Trust will be running the following events:

Tough Mudder
Tough Mudder events are hardcore 10-12 mile obstacle courses designed by the Special Forces to test all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. Tough Mudder is more than an event, it’s a way of thinking. By running Tough Mudder, we hope to unlock a true sense of accomplishment, have a great time, and discover a camaraderie with our fellow participants that’s experienced all too rarely these days. The following 'Mudder Fudders' are looking for your sponsorship:
Andrew Ballantyne, Tiffany Behrendt, Euan Fryer, Colin Jarvie, Moira Mackay, Alastair McAlpine, Brian McLean and Tim Siddons
All funds raised will go towards The Rock Trust, a Scottish charity providing support and accommodation to homeless and vulnerable young people in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

The 2012 Munro Challenge!
To celebrate The Trusts 21st birthday we are hoping to do something special (possibly even a little mad). With your help we want to put a Rock Trust walker(s) on the top of every Scottish Munro on the same weekend of the year - as part of a sponsorship challenge.
Its really quite straight forward, there are 283 peaks in total and we need your help (and legs to get us there)!
Many peaks can be tackled in clusters of two or more, others as solitary peaks. We really don't mind what you want to do and are happy for you to pick something which represents a suitable challenge for yourself and your group. As the event is a sponsored event it is best if you choose an itinerary that does offer a challenge to you.
The challenge will be set for a weekend next year - so you will have some flexibility as to whether you chose to attempt your peak(s) on the Saturday or Sunday. It will take place on the weekend of 16th June - around the longest day of the year (to give you all the time you will need).
For more details and to register for this event please drop us a line.
You can choose the Munro(s) that you wish to tackle by referring to the list in the link below. If the Munro is marked green then it means that it is available for you to pick. If it's red then it is already taken - and it would help us if you pick another one(s) - afterall the challenge is to get them all covered!
Developing Your Own Fundraising Event

We will always try to support your efforts as far as we can - which could involve helping provide volunteers, help with organisation or publicity e.g. through out newsletter.
We have put a A-Z of fundraising ideas together which may help to inspire you!
