In October, Rock Trust Fundraising and Events Coordinator Katriona Harding attended the PRide Awards Scotland, an awards ceremony to recognise the outstanding PR work delivered across Scotland.
We were delighted to beat off stiff competition and win the gold award for ‘Best Not for Profit Campaign’ for our 2015 Sleep Out campaign!
We owe a huge thank you to Pagoda Porter Novelli who have generously supported us pro-bono with our PR activity since 2013. With very little budget we worked together on this campaign, developed a cross-platform social media strategy and organised photocalls and sent out press releases to try and get as much engagement and awareness as possible for our flagship[p fundraising event, the EYH Sleep Out.
The event raised over £50,000 – an increase of 47% on the year before – which has made a significant difference and helped us deliver our front line services supporting vulnerable young homeless people.
Robbie Moore, our communications volunteer, worked tirelessly to promote the 2015 Sleep Out with lots of witty tweets and social media posts. Thank you, Robbie, we would not have won this award, or had such a successful event, with out your time and energy!
