Scottish Social Networks Forum

Why social networks? - Because we all need friends and family.

Positive social networks:

  • prevent homelessness
  • promote mental health and well-being
  • create inclusive communities

and make us feel good about ourselves

The Scottish Social Networks Forum aims to:

  • highlight how positive social networks can: prevent homelessness ; promote mental health and well-being; and help create inclusive communities and
  • support the development of befriending, mentoring, mediation and other measures to build positive social networks.

Because of the success of The Rock Trust’s innovative Social Networks project and their track record of successful partnership working they are funded by the Scottish Executive to develop the Scottish Social Networks Forum.
