Thank you Gillespie Macandrew
The Rock Trust is fortunate to be one of three Scottish charities to benefit from a share of Gillespie Macandrew’s profits and staff fundraising activities.
The firm of solicitors, which has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth, has donated £24,000 to the Rock Trust, Children in Scotland and Rossie Young People’s Trust – one per cent of the legal firm’s pre-tax profits.
Cheques to each of the charities were presented by the firm’s Chairman Murray Shaw and Private Client Partner Elspeth Paget at the firm’s Edinburgh office.
Chris West, CEO of Gillespie Macandrew, said:
“These charities do tremendous work and our partners and staff feel personally committed to supporting such important organisations. As a firm, we donate one per cent of our pre-tax profits, provide everyone with some time to support these community related activities and staff raise funds for these and other good causes.
“We organise regular update sessions to ensure that our named charities have access to the legal guidance they require on a day to day basis, along with a free legal helpline for Children in Scotland. Our involvement in corporate social responsibility (CSR) is an important part of Gillespie Macandrew’s culture, supporting our values and our approach to business.”
We were over the moon to receive £12,000.
Kate Polson, Chief Executive of the Rock Trust said:
“The Rock Trust believes that accommodation, support, education and employment are the best routes out of the misery of homelessness and lead to a better future for our young people. We are delighted by Gillespie Macandrew’s support for our work with the growing numbers of young people who need assistance, helping us to end youth homelessness in Scotland.”
