Ethical Christmas Gift Range 2008. Buy Christmas presents for all your family and friends and help our young people at the same time! Click here.

None of our work would exist without the backing of people from all over the Lothians, Scotland and beyond.  Our supporters have not only donated money but their time as well, by painting and decorating, making curtains, giving shares and property and volunteering at our events.  We would like to invite you to join them.  If you are angry about homelessness and concerned about homeless teenagers, then why not become a partner with the Rock Trust in making a difference?  Our supporters include individuals, schools, companies, charitable trusts and churches – your help will make a difference.

How can you help?

THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES ARE ONGOING THROUGHOUT THE YEAR:

  • Freefall Tandem Skydive
Help us raise funds by making an exhilarating 10,000-ft freefall parachute jump from sites at either St. Andrews, Auchterarder or Errol.
  • Overseas Challenges
Leave Scotland’s shores and help us to raise funds by taking part in one of our adventurous overseas challenges.

For details on either of the above please e-mail:  events@rocktrust.org

Or why not have a go at your own fundraising event…

There are many ways that you could get involved, here are just a few ideas…

If you are feeling fit and active how about signing up for the Edinburgh Marathon or walking the West Highland Way and using the opportunity to raise sponsorship.

You might however like to have a go at your own fundraising.  Why not organise a disco for friends, or something more elaborate like a themed formal Ball for your work colleagues?  Whatever you decide, we can offer you all of the advice, support and posters etc. you need to make sure that your event is a success.

Giving to The Rock Trust

Donations By Post

If you are a tax payer please ask us for a Gift Aid form, as it enables us to reclaim the tax on your donation at no cost to you, but makes your gift worth almost 30% more.  Please send your donation in the form of a cheque made payable to `The Rock Trust` to Fundraising Manager, The Rock Trust, 55 Albany Street, Edinburgh, EH1 3QY.

Regular Giving

Support our work by making a regular donation by way of standing order through your bank.  This allows us to plan our future work in the knowledge that a regular source of income will be received.  If you are a UK tax payer payments can be gift aided, allowing us to reclaim income tax from the Inland Revenue.  We can reclaim 28p for every £1 donated, irrespective of its value. Please e-mail tom.byrom@rocktrust.org for a regular giving form if you wish to support us in this way.

Payroll Giving

Giving direct from your pay is tax free and helps The Rock Trust make confident plans for the future.  That means that if you pledge £10 from your gross salary each month, it will only cost you £7.80, but The Rock Trust gets £10 thanks to the taxman.

Anyone can join the Give As You Earn scheme if your salary or pension is taxed through PAYE and your employer offers a scheme. All you need to do is check with your payroll department that your company offers the scheme, decide how much you would like to give each pay day, and then complete and return our Give As You Earn form which can be downloaded here. If your employer hasn’t yet signed up to the payroll giving scheme, you have a right to suggest it and to encourage your colleagues to give in this highly convenient, tax efficient way.

Legacies

A gift left in your will would help The Rock Trust improve the future of all young people affected by homelessness here in the Lothians.

Corporate Fundraising

Developing a partnership with The Rock Trust through sponsoring one of our high profile events, or a portion of one of our services, would enhance the profile of your company and allow our events and services to make a bigger impact with a wider audience.  Alternatively by encouraging your staff to fundraise for us you can make The Rock Trust your company’s charity of the year.

Responsible Fundraising

When you consider making a donation to The Rock Trust you will want to be sure that it will be quickly put into our services and spent wisely.  That’s why as a charity we abide by and endorse the Institute of Fundraising’s Charity Donors’ Rights Charter.  The Charter can be viewed at
