Sleep Out so a young person doesn’t have to.

Swap home comforts for no comforts ans join us and 200 supporters for the longest running Sleep Out in the UK.

Our work is not getting any easier. Every year over 80,000 young people across the UK experience homelessness. But the public are talking about it. The government are talking about it. We are all agreed that enough is enough, it is time to end youth homelessness for good. We can all play our part.

Friday 3rd November 2017 7pm – 7am

Festival Square, Edinburgh

Why? The purpose of Sleep Out is to raise money and  awareness of the issues of youth homelessness and NOT to match the sense of danger, hopelessness and hunger which many young homeless people face.

What do I have to do? For just one night, swap your bed for a sleeping bag and experience a night’s sleep outside, on the street, in the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre.

How much should I raise? The target is £250 per person. For example, a team of 4 should aim to hit £1000. The sponsorship money raised is absolutely vital for us to maintain our frontline services,  supporting young homeless people to build the personal skills and resources required to make a positive and healthy transition to adulthood, while avoiding or moving on from homelessness.
